MaxID Corp Announces iDL502 Handheld Multimodal Computer with Proximity Card Support


125 kHz Proximity Card Support to Complement Current RFID Support


Pleasanton, California ‐ June 30, 2010 – MaxID Corp, a leading global provider of identity solutions has announced the introduction of the iDL502 multimodal computer, a progression of MaxID’s iDLMax computer.

The iDL502 is a multi‐modal, rugged mobile computer that offers a complete set of features ‐ including QWERTY keyboard, contact card, contactless card, barcode, optical fingerprint, and optional magnetic swipe and MRZ readers with a digital camera, GPS, and comprehensive communications capabilities. The iDL502 can read TWIC, SID, CAC, PIV, PIV‐I, FRAC, FiXS cards, proximity cards, passports, driver's licenses, Seafarer IDs as well as fingerprints to verify identity. The MaxIDentity Suite, a comprehensive suite of software applications that read, validate and verify government- issued credentials will be supported on the iDL502 device in August, 2010.
